In this course you will learn about the consultant’s best approach to using timber structures in mid-rise projects (4+ levels), their advantages when they are correctly designed and procured, and the specific considerations that this may require. In particular, the principles and processes to:

  • Optimise design using the full range of Engineered Wood Products and systems
  • Meet and exceed code requirements
  • Achieve safety, speed and quality on site

This course is targeted at Project Managers, Quality Surveyors, Building Surveyors, Architects, Engineers, and their clients or project financiers (Developers, Builders, Insurers, Lenders), but beneficial for anyone in the industry interested in understanding more about mid-rise timber structures.

As you work through the course you will have the opportunity to answer some questions and progressively check your understanding. Complete the assessment quiz and the feedback activity to obtain your CPD certificate of completion.

It is based on Wood Solutions best knowledge, including the lessons learned from its free Mid-rise Advisory Program which was run between July 2016 and June 2022 to successfully support the awareness and confidence of the Australian construction market in the use of Engineered Wood Products.
