Working together in Local Transport Forums

$20.00 (inc GST)

Great outcomes on roads and streets happen when councils and agencies come together through Local Transport Forums to share advice, experience and expertise.

This course, designed for new and existing Local Transport Forum members (LTFs) in New South Wales, provides guidance and resources for LTF members to familiarise with the purpose, operational requirements and roles of various stakeholders.

You’ll learn how responsibilities are shared between state and local governments in NSW, and how local government can draw on state agencies and their local community representatives for design advice, support and coordination.

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Explain the role of the Local Transport Forum and the responsibilities of its members
  • Outline the legislative context of road management in NSW and the relationship to Local Transport Forums
  • Participate productively in Local Transport Forum meetings
  • Use the collective expertise of the Local Transport Forum to improve outcomes
  • Access resources to provide informed and helpful advice.

Duration: 2 hours
Delivery: Online (self-paced)
Access period: 18 months access from the day of enrolment
