Responsible Supply of Alcohol Training (RSAT Course and Assessment)

To make same day alcohol deliveries to people in NSW, you must complete the Responsible Supply of Alcohol Training (RSAT) and pass the L&GNSW online RSAT assessment.

Same day delivery providers, agents and drivers making same day deliveries in NSW must be aware of and fulfil their legal obligations under the law as covered in the L&GNSW RSAT Course Handbook.

The RSAT course covers the knowledge and skills to meet your responsibilities to supply alcohol responsibly in NSW and the importance of your role as a same day delivery person, provider or agent.

The course includes how to:

• comply with your legal obligations
• recognise intoxication
• reduce the risk of supply of alcohol to minors
• ensure your personal safety when delivering alcohol.

Upon completion of the course, you must pass the L&GNSW RSAT online assessment to obtain the RSAT certificate of completion. The RSAT certificate is mandatory in NSW to make same day alcohol deliveries to the public.

There are 12 questions in the assessment quiz. You have three (3) attempts to pass the assessment and must score 100% to pass. If you fail on the third attempt, you will be able to purchase RSAT Assessment only, which will give you a further three (3) attempts at the assessment quiz.

Duration: 1hr 20 mins if completed in one sitting. If you leave the course or assessment partway through, you can continue from where you left off.
Delivery: Online – Six months access to complete. If you do not complete the course within six months, you will need to re-enrol.
Validity: Your RSAT certificate is valid for a period of five years. To renew your certificate, you need to complete the RSAT course and pass the Liquor & Gaming NSW RSAT assessment prior to the certificate expiry date.

Note: the personal details of the learner who creates the TAFE account will be displayed on the certificate issued after successful course completion. You may not purchase the course on behalf of another person.
