Liquor & Gaming NSW
Responsible Supply of Alcohol Training (RSAT) is mandatory for anyone making same day alcohol deliveries to the public in NSW. This applies to same day alcohol delivery providers, delivery agents and persons making same day deliveries.
Same day delivery providers include:
• licensed takeaway liquor providers that offer online/phone sales and deliveries in NSW
• food delivery providers that deliver alcohol in addition to or as part of food deliveries
• individuals offering same day delivery of alcohol in NSW, and
• any other business that offers same day alcohol delivery to the public
To gain the Responsible Supply of Alcohol certificate of completion, you must:
• complete the RSAT course with Liquor and Gaming NSW (L&GNSW) or with any same day delivery provider or Registered Training Organisation offering the training, and
• successfully complete L&GNSW’s online assessment (the L&GNSW RSAT online assessment is mandatory)
The L&GNSW RSAT online course-plus-assessment package costs $28 and provides you with six (6) months of access for completion. You have three (3) attempts to pass the L&GNSW RSAT online assessment. If you fail the third attempt, you will be able to purchase the RSAT assessment for only $18, which will give you a further three (3) attempts at the assessment.
Alternatively, you may complete the RSAT course with a same day delivery provider or delivery agent (such as your employer) or a Registered Training Organisation offering the course and then complete the mandatory L&GNSW RSAT online assessment only at a cost of $18.
Your RSAT certificate will be valid for a period of five years. To renew your certificate, you need to complete the RSAT course and pass the Liquor & Gaming NSW RSAT assessment prior to the certificate expiry date.
Please note, these are not Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) courses. If you need to complete an RSA course, search for RSA information on the Liquor and Gaming NSW website: https://www.liquorandgaming.nsw.gov.au/
