Trial: FRNSW Consultation in the Performance-based Design Brief

$70.00 (inc GST)

Fire and rescue services are recognised across jurisdictions as subject matter experts for fire brigade intervention and life safety expertise in the event of fires and other emergencies. The performance-based design brief (PBDB) process engages key stakeholders upfront to collaboratively develop project elements and it is critical to involve fire and rescue services from the early stages of design, and throughout the design and construction process.

This course is about the benefits of early consultation with Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) during the design process. On completion, learners should be able to:

  • Understand the value of early consultation with FRNSW in the design process
  • Understand when and how to consult FRNSW
  • Understand how practitioners can maximise the benefit and efficiency of the consultation process
  • Understand FRNSW capabilities and limitations

This course is designed for fire safety practitioners and associated professions, including fire safety engineers, fire protection engineers, designers and installers, certifiers, building surveyors, architects, builders and others.
