Trial: Cladding Remediation: Part A

Cladding remediation is a professional service that involves identifying the issues that cause façade defects and determining the corrective actions to provide long-term solutions for the integrity, safety and stability of a building façade.

When done correctly, remediation of a façade will help to extend the service life of both a building and building façade.

This course develops a general understanding of façades and cladding, common defects, and the recommended course of action to address such defects. You’ll learn how to predict façade defects in designs, use best practice façade remediation analysis methods, and determine potential causes of a defect.

This course covers:

  • How facades fail
  • Prioritising defects
  • Guidelines and regulations associated with façade remediation
  • Why façade remediation is important
  • Methodology for cladding remediation
  • Project procurement and professional responsibilities

Who should do this course?

Engineers and professionals involved in the design, procurement and construction of façades. Participants must have two – five years’ experience in engineering or a related role.

Roles include façade, structural, ESD, fire, acoustic or services engineers; architects; facility managers; asset managers; and construction professionals.

Participants are required to complete the course within the TAFE NSW LMS. There is currently no option available to host courses on external LMS platforms.

If you would like to purchase courses for your staff (less than 10), each participant will need to complete the checkout process separately (e.g. select the “ADD TO CART” button for the desired course or courses, and then continue through the checkout process). The participant’s details are to be entered in the “ACCOUNT DETAILS” section. The relevant credit card details can then be entered in the credit card payment section. The screenshot below shows an example of the checkout screen and where to enter this information.

The details entered in the “ACCOUNT DETAILS” section will be used to create an account for the participant. The participant will then receive a confirmation email with login instructions. If the course is a paid course, they will also receive an invoice for your records.

If the same PC or device is being used to process multiple orders, please ensure you are logged out after each order is complete.
