Modern Supervisor: Leadership in Action
$0.00 (inc GST)
With increasing pressure on residential construction projects to meet tighter timelines, higher compliance standards and growing housing demand, the role of the site supervisor has become more complex and critical than ever. Many supervisors step into the role from a trade background without formal training, leading to gaps in leadership, communication, coordination and quality management that can impact project outcomes.
This course is designed to support tradespeople transitioning into supervision, as well as new and existing supervisors looking to strengthen their capability. It builds practical skills across people leadership, work health and safety, quality and compliance, planning and coordination, and site communication. Through real-world scenarios, short video insights and reflective activities, learners will explore what effective supervision looks like on a modern construction site and identify simple, repeatable habits that improve performance on the job.
At the end of this course, you should be able to:
- Recognise the role and responsibilities of a modern supervisor in a residential construction environment
- Recognise key skills and attributes of effective modern supervisors in a residential construction environment
- Undertake a self-evaluation to identify skills and knowledge gaps against industry expectations of modern supervisors in a residential construction environment
- Identify training opportunities and further learning to develop capability and improve performance
As you progress, interactive activities, practical examples and reflection tasks will help you apply your learning directly to your own work environment. Upon successful completion of the assessment quiz and feedback activity, you will receive a Certificate of Completion.
